A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROLLING HILLS MAKING APPLICATION
TO THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION FOR
A CHANGE OF ORGANIZATION PURSUANT TO THE
CORTESE/KNOX LOCAL GOVERNMENT REORGANIZATION ACT
ANNEXATION TO
LOS ANGELES COUNTY WEST MOSQUITO ABATEMENT DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills
desires to initiate proceedings for annexation of said terri-
tory to the Los Angeles County West Mosquito Abatement
District, pursuant to the Cortese/Knox Local Government
Reorganization Act of 1985 (Division 3, commencing with
Section 56000, of the California Government Code),
BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. Application is hereby made to the Local Agency
Formation Commission of Los Angeles County for the annexation_
of certain territory in the City of Rolling Hills
to the Los Angeles County West Mosquito Abatement District,
pursuant to the Cortese/Knox Local Government Reorganization
Act of 1985.
2. The territory proposed to be annexed is inha-
bited, and a description of said territory is set forth in
Exhibit "A," attached hereto and by this reference made a
part hereof.
3. The reason for this proposal is that there is a
need for more uniform and complete coverage of mosquito
control in the County of Los Angeles.
4. This proposal is consistent with the sphere of
influence adopted by the Local Agency Formation Commission
for the Los Angeles County West Mosquito Abatement District.
5. The proposed annexation is subject to no specific
terms or conditions.
6. The City Council of the City of Rollinq Hills
requests that proceedings be taken for the change of organi-
zation hereinabove described.
7. The City Clerk is directed to file a certified
copy of this resolution with the.Local Agency Formation
Commission.

Council of the City Of Rolling Hills at its
meeting of Julv 13, 1987,
by the following vote:
