RESOLUTION NO. 564
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
CITY OF ROLLING HILLS APPROVING AND
ADOPTING THE ENGINEERING AND TRAFFIC SURVEY
FOR SPEED ZONING IN ROLLING HILLS

WHEREAS, Section 40801 and 40802 of the California
ehicle Code requires an engineering and traffic survey to supporthe prima facie speed limits) before enforcement can be effected by
and
WHEREAS, the California Vehicle Code further specifies
that an engineering and traffic survey be conducted at least every
five years; and
WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills last certified an
(X) engineering and traffic survey for speed limit zoning, February,
1983; and,
(v WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills retained Willdan
W Associates to perform an engineering and traffic survey report, which
CD report was completed, in October 1987; and
Q WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills Traffic Commission
reviewed the traffic survey report; and thereafter recommended to the
City Council that the final engineering and traffic survey report be
approved, adopted and certified.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Rolling Hills does hereby approve, adopt and certify the
Engineering and Traffic Survey for Speed Zoning as required by the
California Vehicle Code Section 40802(b) to enable the continued use
of radar for traffic speed improvement.
