06321 RESOLUTION NO. 632 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS SUPPORTING SENATE BILL NO. 76 WHICH REINSTATES PROPERTY TAX REVENUE REDUCTIONS TO LOW PROPERTY TAX CITIES WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills is a "Low Property Tax City"; and WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills suffered a property tax revenue distribution reduction authorized under Senate Bill No. 2557 (Chapter 466, Statutes of 1990); and WHEREAS, Senate Bill 76 will remove the provision authorized under Senate Bill No. 2557 that reduces property tax revenues to "Low Property Tax Cities" in the current fiscal year; and WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills did not receive any new or additional property tax revenues in fiscal year 1990-91; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills supports the concept of equitable distribution of property tax revenues authorized under previous legislation that assists both no and low property tax cities. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council of Rolling Hills supports Senate Bill No. 76. SECTION 2. Copies of this Resolution shall be forwarded to Senator Robert Beverly, Senator Marian Bergeson, Assemblyman Gerald Felando, the League of California Cities and the California Contract Cities Association. SECTION 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to sign this Resolution signifying its adoption, and the City Clerk is directed to attest thereto.
