A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING
HILLS, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF ROLLING HILLS AND THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES FOR THE
y EXAMINATION OF TRACT MAPS AND PARCEL MAPS FOR THE CITY.
WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills desires to provide
examination of tract map and parcel map services to its residents
as required by the Subdivision Map Act; and

WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles desires to provide
examination of tract map and parcel map services for the City of
Rolling Hills; and
WHEREAS, the Subdivision Map Act, at Section 66431 of the
Government Code, provides that:
"Upon mutual agreement of their respective legislative bodies,
the county surveyor may perform any or all of the duties assigned
to the city engineer, including required certifications or
statements. Whenever these duties have been divided between the
county surveyor and the city engineer, each officer shall state the
duties performed by him or her;" and
WHEREAS, both parties desire to enter into a contractual
relationship for examination of tract map and parcel map services
as described in the attached Agreement (Exhibit A).
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills,
California, does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Members of the Rolling Hills City Council hereby
adopt the attached Agreement between the City of Rolling Hills and
the County of Los Angeles.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby directed to sign this
Resolution, and the City Clerk, or duly authorized Deputy is
directed to attest thereto.
SECTION 3. The Mayor is hereby directed to affix his
signature to the attached agreement (Exhibit A) entitled,
"AGREEMENT, EXAMINATION OF TRACT MAPS AND PARCEL MAPS," and the
City Clerk.is also so directed.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall forward certified copies of
this Resolution to the Los Angeles County Department of Public
Works.
