After..udiscus;sion, .;theiMayor ,directed -that... the matter., �be-.held.�_for,::further:discussion. a UT1 May -25, 1964 FIRE .DEPARTMENT ACTIVITY.REPORT APRIL,- 1964 The -City. -Clerk submitted the Fire Department Activity Report for the month of April, 1964., noting that there was very -little activity during the month of April. Thereafter,.Chief Robinson appeared and stated he was thankful to report they,were�s.uccessful with the, -one -item of personal rescue. -Mayor Van Note expressed appreciation to Chief Robinson for his attendance at the,meeting. GERALD,L..REVELL HOME RE. DEMOLITION 16 EASTFIELD DRIVE, ROLLING HILLS The Manager stated that Mr. Kinley had written to Mr. -Revell and that she had contacted Mr.'Revell by telephone with regard to -the -demolition of his'home and thereafter presented and read in full letter dated May,25, 1964 -from Mr. Gerald L Revell. Mr. Revell's letter stated that the delay in removal of.the burned remains of his home at 16. Eastfield Drive had been necessitated by°proper insurance claim settlement and that this matter had now been completed and his plans for rebuilding on the site were in process and would be ready -for submittal to the Architectural Committee within two weeks when he,returned.from a New York business trip. After discussion the Mayor directed the --Manager to write -to Mr: Revell thanking him. -for his reply. -and further directed that -the. -matter be -placed on the. -agenda in one month for further discussion. Mr : Hesse advised of - the appointment -. of - Mr :J': R Klein. -as. -Trails -Committee --Chairman. - Since the sub- ject-of.trails was.important in making the. -final recommenda- tion-.6n',the=-Ordinance,-Mr.-Klein,-Mr. Butler, President.of `Los Caballeros -del Rancho -Palos Verdes and-Councilman:Tourtelot were conferring on the matter and thereafter asked -that -the matter be held -for further discussion. BUDGET ESTIMATES 1964 -1965 -SERVICES TO CITIES The Manager presented.copy-of Budget..Estimates- 1964-1965 Services to Cities as compiled by the County -City Coordinator Chief Administrative Office, County of Los Angeles. Councilman-Tourtelot inquired as to.Emergency -Ambulance: Service: for Rolling Hills. and if the City -was .reimbursed..for this -service. The -Manager stated -that the -City,-always-attempts to.collect the.-ambulance.fee. Councilman.Goodman.reported that:a child -had been injured: in a fall- from a- horse on Sunday, May, 2, 1964 and:,that an. -hour had.elapsed.before an.ambulance arrived. .. Thereafter, . the :Manager was directed by the- Mayor to-An- vestigate_the matter and.give a report on City -.Emergency Ambulance Service at the'next.meeting. USE. Chamber, stating that it would be useful in.discussions a' regarding subdivisions and their.terrain. After discussion the --Mayor directed -the City. -Manager to, look. into. costs -and report to the Council at the next meeting.
