A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING
HILLS SUPPORTING SENATE BILL NO. 11 WHICH PROVIDES
THAT STATE MANDATED LOCAL PROGRAMS WOULD BE
INOPERATIVE UNLESS FULLY FUNDED BY THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills is responsible for providing services to local
residents; and
WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills complies with State mandated local programs
adopted by the State Legislature; and
WHEREAS, from time to time State mandated local programs lack adequate
funding to offset the costs for the local administration of these State mandated local programs;
and
WHEREAS, the California State Legislature is attempting to address the issue of
unfunded State mandated local programs by consideration of Senate Bill No. 11 as introduced by
Senator Ruben Ayala.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rolling
Hills as follows:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Rolling Hills hereby supports Senate
Bill No. 11.
Section 2. Copies of this Resolution shall be forwarded to Senator Robert
Beverly, Senator Ruben Ayala, Assemblymember Steven Kuykendall, the League of California
Cities and the California Contract Cities Association.
Section 3. The Mayor, is hereby authorized to sign this Resolution signifying to
its adoption, and the City Clerk is directed to attest thereto.
