of the City of Rolling Hills a�.d � member of the Rollix�g �Y�ills
Commu�ity Associatior�; duri�.g which time he was eYected to the
City Council. of the. City of Ro�.lirug Hills o� tl�e tenth day of
April, 1962, and thereafter was e��c�ed by his colleagues os� the
Council as the Mayor oa� the eighth day of ApriY, 1963, whicYa
office he held until the day of his demise oa� the fourteenth
day of April, 1964; and
WHEREAS �he City Co�zxacil of the Ci�y of Rol:�in�g �ills
and all.,. the. resider�ts of the City of Rolling I�i�.ls desire to
express sympathy a�d co�d�lea�ces to the family of Rolaxnd Amberg ;
NOW9 TY�EREFORE, BE I"� RESO��PED tYnat �i�u beha�f of all
residents of the City of Rolli�ag ][�ills , the City Cou�.ci� does
adopt this resolution ira tribute to tl�e memory of our late
Mayor and fellow member of th� Citg� Coum?ciYe
Every reside�t of the City of Rclbia�g I3ills si�ce�ely
mourns amd feels a personal loss at the death of Roland Amberg.
By° his death, the members ` of the Ci�y Coua�eil have lost a
genuine friend whose ma�ny endeavors in the admi��istratiora of the
affairs of the City of Rollia�g Hil�.s � re.flected not on�ly to the
honor and credit of said City but also upon �he e�atire Pa�as
Verdes peni�sulao ,
His ge�nuineness was demo�nstrated in his ger�tTemanly
demeanor, his devotion to the City of Ro1li�ag Hills and its
rural way of life, his ur�selfishaness , his kiradness and his
understanding, were all persorual qualifications which. endeared
him to every resident of the City of Rolling Hi11se
BE IT. FURTI�ER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution
be spread upon the mix�utes of this meeting of the City Couancil
of the City of Rolling Hills , a�ad that a suitable copy thereof
be forthwith transmitted to his widow, Sarah Amberg .
BE IT FINALLY RESO�VED that the members of the City
Council do extend to Sarah Am�berg and to the members of his
family their exgression o.f s'ia�cere sympathy a�ad heartfelt
condolence .
