A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROLLING HILLS EXTENDING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN
METRICOM, INC., AND THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS FOR
THE INSTALLATION OF, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
OF WIRELESS DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS RADIOS
WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE CITY.
WHEREAS, The City Council, on April 14, 1997, adopted an agreement
between the City of Rolling Hills and Metricom, Inc. to install, operate and maintain
wireless digital communication radio systems in the City of Rolling Hills; and
WHEREAS, this agreement was scheduled to expire April 20, 1998; and
WHEREAS, Metricom has requested a one year extension of time to install
radio devices in the City and advertise to local residents the availability of this service.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Rolling Hills City Council hereby resolves as
follows:
Section 1. The term of the attached agreement between the City of Rolling
Hills and Metricom, Inc. for installation, operation and maintenance of wireless digital
communications radios within the limits of the City is extended to April 14, 1999.
Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute this agreement on
behalf of the City and the City Clerk shall attest thereto.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of April, 1998.
