08801 RESOLUTION NO. 880 . A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS AUTHORIZING THE REALLOCATION OF MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING FUNDS GENERATED BY THE SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS PROPOSITION OF 1992 TO THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS ESTATES. WHEREAS, Los Angeles Taxpayers approved Proposition A of 1992, which provides funds to incorporated cities of Los Angeles County to acquire, develop, improve or restore real property for parks and recreation purposes; and WHEREAS, Proposition A of 1992 provides maintenance and servicing funds to eligible agencies to offset the increased maintenance costs resulting from Proposition funded projects; and WHEREAS, Los Angeles County has authorized the transfer of Proposition A of 1992 Per Parcel Discretionary funds in the amount of $25,428 from the City of Rolling Hills to the City of Rolling Hills Estates; and WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills transferred its Proposition A of 1992 Per Parcel Discretionary funds to the City of Rolling Hills Estates on May 28, 1996 for the purpose of improving Rockbluff Park and the George F Canyon Nature Preserve; and WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills, through its transfer of Proposition A of 1992 Per Parcel Discretionary funds to the City of Rolling Hills Estates, is unable to utilize the maintenance and servicing funds under the guidelines of the Proposition; and WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills Estates has communicated a willingness to accept the maintenance and servicing funds allocation estimated to.be $3,000 per annum through Fiscal Year 2015 to offset increased maintenance costs resulting from the Proposition funded projects. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Rolling Hills hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are true and correct. Section 2. The City Council of the City of Rolling Hills hereby authorized Los Angeles County to pay the City of Rolling Hills Estates in annual Proposition A of 1992 maintenance and servicing allocation, estimated to be $3,000 per annum through Fiscal Year 2015, without consideration and the City of Rolling Hills will not receive any money, property, services or other reimbursement for assigning its allocation to the City of Rolling Hills Estates. Section 3. The City Clerk of the City of Rolling Hills is directed to submit a copy of this Resolution to the Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District, 433 South Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90020-1975. Section 4. The City Clerk of the City of Rolling Hills shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
