On behalf of the City of Rolling Hills Estates, please consider this letter as a request for
transfer of the City of Rolling Hills' Transportation Development Act Article 3 available
fund balance. The City of Rolling Hills Estates is currently planning the Deep Valley
Drive Streetscape Project which will attempt to foster a pedestrian friendly environment
on a portion of Deep Valley Drive with the addition of landscaping, improved pedestrian
facilities, decorative lighting, street furniture and traffic calming devices.
We believe the proposed Deep Valley Drive pedestrian improvements that include new
sidewalks with decorative brick features, including wheelchair ramps at each
intersection, would be an appropriate and ideal use for these funds.
Thank you in advance for consideration of our request, and if i can provide you with
further information, do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Samuel R. Wise
Assistant City Manager
