A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE
MUNICIPAL LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS AND THE COUNTY
OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY FOR SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department currently provides law
enforcement services within the City of Rolling Hills pursuant to the City -County Law
Enforcement Services Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills does resolve as
follows:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Rolling Hills desires to have
municipal law enforcement services provided in the City of Rolling Hills by the Los Angeles
County Sheriff's Department pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Municipal Law
Enforcement Services Agreement, dated effective July 1, 2004.
Section 2. In addition to the general law enforcement services, and other
services, now being provided to the City of Rolling Hills pursuant to the Municipal Law
Enforcement Services Agreement, the City Council does hereby request the following
additional services:
Motorcycle Traffic Enforcement
Traffic Law Enforcement
Community Service Personnel
Special Assignment Officers
Section 3. It is hereby requested that the Board of Supervisors, or its
designated agent or agency, approve and authorize the performance of services requested in
this Resolution and other services, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the
Municipal Law Enforcement Services agreement dated effective July 1, 2004.
Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to forward a certified copy of this
Resolution to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, to the County Sheriff's Department, and
the Chief Administrative Office of the County of Los Angeles.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this
Resolution and enter it into the book of original Resolutions.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED, by the City Council of the City of
Rolling Hills this 10`' day of May 2004.
