RESOLUTION NO. 960
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS,
CALIFORNIA, ASSIGNING THE AVAILABLE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2002-2003, FISCAL YEAR
2003-2004 AND FISCAL YEAR 2004-2005 TO THE CITY OF LOMITA,
CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the City of Lomita provides Residential Rehabilitation Programs for
eligible low and moderate income residents, hereinafter referred to as "PROGRAM"; and
WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills has historically allocated its CDBG funds for
projects addressing regional housing needs; and
WHEREAS; the City of Rolling Hills has determined that the aforementioned
PROGRAM is in the general interest of the City of Rolling Hills regarding the support of
housing element objectives; and
WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills is willing to assign 100% of its allocation of
available FY 2002-2003, FY 2003-2004 and FY 2004-2005 CDBG funds to the City of Lomita to
share in the cost of the PROGRAM.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills, California, does
hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City of Rolling Hills hereby assigns to the City of Lomita all of its FY
2002-2003, FY 2003-2004 anf FY 2004-2005 City of Rolling Hills available Community
Development Block Grant Funds in the amount of $25,929 to share in the cost of the
PROGRAM.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and empowered to execute all
necessary applications, contracts and agreements to implement and carry out the purpose of
the Community Development Block Grant Program.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall
forward certified copies to the LOS ANGELES COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
COMMISSION, the CITY OF LOMITA, and the LOS ANGELAS COUNTY BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS. /I
