A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROLLING HILLS APPROVING TI�APPLICATION FOR BICYCLE
AND/OR PEDESTRIAN FUNDS UNDER SB 821.
WHEREAS, SB 821 provides that 2% of each County's total local Transportation
Fund be annually set aside and used to fund the development of bicycle and pedestrian
facilities;and
WHEREAS, the City of Rolling Hills comprises .02% of the population of Los
Angeles County, therefore, the City has been apportioned $21,001 for Fiscal Years 2002-03
through 2005-06 from the local fund; and � �
WHEREAS, at th.is time the City wishes to allocate the entire TDA Article 3 Fund
balance for these four Fiscal Years to other municipalities to be utilized for an eligible use.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills does hereby
resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the FY 2002-03 funding of $1,002, the FY 2003-04 funding of
$5,000, the FY 2004-05 funding of$5,000 and the FY 2005-06 funding of $5,000 allocated by the
County of Los Angeles to the City of Rolling Hills for bicycle and pedestrian facilities is
requested to be allocated in the amount of $10,501 (50%) to the City of Rolling Hills Estates
and in the amount of $10,502 (50%) to the City of Rancho Palos Verdes for the project(s)
described in the attached correspondence marked Exhibit"A".
Section 2. That the City has completed the necessary documentation for the
Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority to allocate these funds to the City of
Rolling Hills Estates and the City of Rancho Palos Verdes for an appropriate eligible program
in those cities.
Section 3. That the City Manager be designated as the City's authorized
signator and contact person.
