A RESOLUTI.ON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS,
CALIFOItNIA, INCREASING SOLID W ASTE COLLECTION FEES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA, DOES °
RESOLVE, DECLARE,DETERMINE AND ORI�ER AS F�JLLOWS:
Section 1. On Monday, June 9, 2008, the Gity Council hsld a duly noticed protest hear�z�g wirh
respect to the solid waste collection fees. All af.fcct�;d property owners were given notice of the hear'►.ng
on April 23, 2008, and given an opportunity .I:o protest. 69� total parcels ��vere affected. The Cit.y
received written protests for 18 properties priar to the pi•otest hearing and an additional Oweitteri protests
were received at the public hearing. A total of 18written pr�tests were received before the close of ihe
hearing. The number of written protests received was not sufficient to constitute a majority protest.
The City Clerk has certified the tabulation of written protests.
5ection 2. The City Council hereby accepts the City Clerk's certification of the results of the
protest hearing and adopts the increase in solid waste collection fees to $1031.67 per parcel per
year, subject to annual increases commencing in 2009 by the amount of the Consumer Price Index for
the Los Angeles-Riverside-Orange County area, not to exceed 4.5%.
Section 3. The City Clerk is directed to certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and
enter it into the book of original resolutions.
