APPROVAL.OF MINUTES
It was moved by Councilman Tourtelot, Seconded by Councilman
Hesse and unanimously carried that the minutes of June 13, 1966 be
approved as submitted.
REPORTS OF_ CITY DEPARTMENTS
County Engineer
The Manager stated that she had received a report on geology
from the County. Engineer's office and that after study by her and
Mr. Kinley she would report to,theiCouncil
PAYMENT,OF BILLS
It was moved by Councilman Nadal that Demands No. 2291 through
2309 be approved for payment from the General Fund.

It was moved by Councilman:Nadal,-seconded by Councilman

and later he and'Mayor-Fay hadalso met with her'td review -the'
.proposed budget and he requested that following the matters on the
agenda, the -Mayor adjourn to a personnel session.

The City Attorney requested that the Proposed Ordinance
.Amending Ordinance No. 47 Claims be held on the agenda. The Mayor
so ordered.
PROPOSED ORDINANCE.RE CRENSHAW BOULEVARD
The City Attorney'stated that-hewould--submita.ne new
ordinance re-Crenshaw-Boulevardaltth6 next meeting, and requested
that thee-preserit proposed ordinance be removed from the agenda.

ADMINISTRAT-ION,,BUILDING
Councilman Tourtelot stated that the architect, Mr.,.'Corw'3*.n
H. Eberting, Jr. is going along very rapidly on plans and specifi-
cations for the new,Administratidn Building and then presenited
alternate plans -.:for the parking area as had been requestedofhim
;at the previous Council meeting. Councilman Tourtelot expressed
his preference for the 2-lain:'e�parking plan and, following discuss.ion,
members of the Council agreed that the parking -lot be extended around
the rear of the lot unobstructed to allow for future development. .1he
directed Manager to so inform the architect. The, Manager
stated that she :gad asked the'..'Los Angel6s,County Road Department for

.,.,Foundation entitled Teenage -Driving Facts ,following.general discussion
the -Manager -was directed to -write for additional pamphlets for dis-
tribution to the residents.
GATE;CONTRACT
Mr.- Kinley stated that in the -past the -City has entered into,a
contract with the Rolling; Fills= Community.:Association on -.July -1 relating
to -the operation of the, gates. Under the- present circumstances: Mr. - Kinley
suggested that instead of a letter contract it:be operated on -a doy to
day. -basis. Councilman -Hesse -stated that:because.the,subject is one
concerning the fiscal'responsibility of both organizations he felt that
the finance officers of both the -City and the Association should work
with the'Manager so that the disbursements and receipts of bo"th bodiese
could°be drawn up,and analyzed. The Mayor directed they-City--Mai4ger .to
meet with -the finance officers of the Council and Association and further
that the finance officers-!makea recommendation to,their respective
bodies.
PERSONNEL.SESSION
It -was -moved by-Councilman,Tourtelot, seconded by"Councilman
Hesse and unanimously carried that the. -meeting -be -adjourned to;a
personnel session at 8:45:P:M.

Following the -personnel session, the meeting was reconvened at
10:45, P..M. There- be'ing no further business to ..come- before the -meeting
it was moved by`Councilman Nadal, seconded by."Councilman.Hesse�.and
unanimously carried that the meeting be adjourned at 10:50 P•.M.
