FINANCIAL REPORTS
It was moved -by Councilman Tourtelot, seconded by Councilman
Klein .and unanimously carried that the Financial Summary and Report
of the City Treasurer for the month.of.June 1966 be approved and filed.
PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.47 CLAIMS
Mr. Kinley gave a brief resume of Ordinance No. 47, setting
forth the procedure to be followed in the event the City of. Rolling
HiIU has a claim filed against it. Mr. Klein moved that the reading
of "ANIORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS,
CALIFOiUTIA, PROVIDING FOR THE PRESENTATION, APPROVAL OR DISAPPROVAL,
AND PAYMENT OF CLAIMS AGAINST THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS11 be waived.
The.motion was seconded by Mr. Tourtelot and carried by the following ,
vote.
AYES: Councilmen Hesse, Nadal, Tourtelot, Klein and Mayor Fay

PROPOSED ORDINANCE RE CRENSHAW BOULEVARD
Mr. Kinley again presented a new proposed ordinance re
Portion.of Crenshaw Boulevard entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING A POR-
TION OF CRENSHAW BOULEVARD TO BE A PART.OF THE COUNTY OF'LOS ANGELES
SYSTEM OF HIGHWAYS FOR CERTAIN PURPOSES". Mr. Hesse moved that
reading in full.of the proposed Ordinance be waived. The motion
.was seconded by Councilman Tourtelot and carried by the following
roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmen Hesse, Nadal, Tourtelot, Klein and Mayor, Fay
NOES: None
ADMINISTRATION BUILDING
At the request.of Mayor Fay, Mr. Kinley gave a brief resume
of the items covered in the meeting attended by Mrs. Clifton, Mr.
Edward Pearson, the Architect Corwin Eberting, and Mr. Kinley, re-
lating to the A dministration.Building. Mrs. Clifton reported that
Mr. Eberting had estimated the drawings for the Administration
Building will be complete in two weeks and ready for bidding by
contractors. After further discussion regarding bidding procedures
the matter was ordered held on the agenda.
EASTFIELD GATE CONDEMNATION
The Mayor ordered that the matter be held on the agenda.
STREET NAME
The City Manager called the councilmen's attention -to a
private road involving the Millhauser, Stringfellow, Schleissner and
Esser properties which at the present time have addresses on Crest
Road East. Mrs. Clifton further stated that there.are no additional
numbers available for any new residences in.that area or for new
lots created by subdivisions; therefore, she asked. Council permission
to contact the homeowners and suggest that they consider naming their
private road and taking their house numbers from it rather than. Crest
Road East. She cited two other streets that have been named under
similar circumstances in the last two years. The Mayor directed that
the Manager explore the subject with the homeowners.
PURCHASE OF DITTO MACHINE
Mrs. Clifton requested the Council's permission to make an
emergency purchase of a Ditto Machine. Following discussion Council-
man Nadal moved to find that an emergency exists and moved to purchase
a new mimeograph machine for the city office from the Ditto Company,
at a cost not to exceed $272.48. The motion was seconded by Mr.
Tourtelot and carried by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Hesse, Nadal, Tourtelot, Klein.and Mayor Fay
NOES: None
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the meeting
it was moved by Councilman Tourtelot, seconded by Councilman. Nadal
and unanimously carried that the meeting be adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
