Hills was held at the City Hall, 1 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills,

It was moved by Councilman.Tourtelot, seconded.byy Councilman
Nadal and unanimously carried that the minutes'of January Z3, 1967 be

The.Generil Assembly Meeting Notice of the Southern California
soctation of Goveinments, addressed to the City Council', 'was. presented
the City Manager; It was noted that.the annual meeting re4uired by
le'yB:laws will be held on Friday.,er
February 24,at the Statl.Hilton
Hotel, Los Angeles to the'Garden Room West. The secretary -was instruct-
ed to;contact Councilman Nadal and Mayor Fay on February 23'regarding
the meeting.
A letter from the South Bay Councilof the Chamber Symphony.
Society of Cali€.orna Inc: was read,by the City Manager. It was noted
that the Chamber's tockttail Rendezvous to honor -Mr. Henri Temianka has
been rescheduled frim Sunday, February 5 to Sunday, February 26, at
5 until 7 P.M. at the Daily Breeze office, 5215 Torrance Blvd., Torrance.
The Agenda for the meeting of the South Bay City Cputcilmen's
Association mee,ting;at 8:00 P.M. Thursday, February 23,'1967 was presented,
toget}er with a. letter from Dr. James L. McElhaney, Chairman of the Assoc-
iation, with reference .to a regional salary survey for ihe'South.Bay-
Cities. Included w8s an invitation to the City Managers,to'join the
Councilmen for d'isc�ssion of ouch survey.

Mayor Faylread a Resc'lution of Appreciation 'to.Charles 0. Van
Note, Jr. expressing appreciation.for his service as a member -of -the City
uncal from April i7, 1962 until April 19, 1966, during which.time..he
s Mayor of Rolling Hills for a period of one year.
A Joint Resolution of the City Council of the City of Rolking
Hills and the Board:of Directors of Rolling Hills Community Association
of Rancho Palos. Verdes to Ruth Carley was then read by Mayor Fay and pre-
sented to Mrs. Carley. The resolution expressing appreciation to -Ruth
Carley for her service as Secretary to the City Council of the City of

Rolling Hills and the Board of Directors of Rolling Hills Community
Association from October 1964 to June 30, 1966 is only the second
such joint Resolution ever passed, it was noted by Mayor Fay.
REPORTS OF CITY DEPARTMENTS
Sheriff's Department
Mayor Fay welcomed Lieutenant Gilbert Scholten of the Sheriff
Department, Lennox Station to the meeting, at which time the December
1966 report from the Sheriff's Department was --presented. The report was
ordered received and filed. +
Fire Department
Mayor Fay welcomed Battalion Chief Thomas Rehm of the Los
Angeles County Fire Department to the meeting, at which time the
Activity Report for the month of January 1967 was presented. The report
was ordered received and filed. _
PAYMENT OF BILLS
It was moved by Councilman Tourtelot that Demands No. 287
through No. 301 be approved for payment from the General Fund, and
that Demand No. 286 be referred to the Rolling Hills Community Assoc-
iation for payment.

Mrs. Clifton stated that the Planning Advisor's Report dated q
January 17, 1967 re Tentative Tract No. 26113, Lot 248 -UR, Walter Norris
owner, and the minutes of the Planning Commission, dated January 17, 1967
were ready for review. Clark Leonard of Lanco Engineering appeared for
the subdivider.
After discussion it was moved by Councilman Tourtelot, seconded
by Councilman Nadal and unanimously carried that the report of the Plan-
