March 13 and March 27 be held until tl}e next rugular meeting of the-`:Couric CORRESPONDENCE 1anco Engineering re: Bond for Tract No. 28146,, : Subdivision No. 25 With reference to Tract 28146, Subdivision No. 25 of property:..;;_ caned by E. Webb Stewart, 2862 Palos Verdes Drive North, the City presented two estimates from Lanco Engineering for widening the drive, as requested by the City Council at the meeting dated Februak"' "' Mr. Clark Le6nard of Lanco Engineering appeared to represent Mr. and advised the Council that one of the conditions imposed on Mr. Ste*.' on approval of the tentative map was that the private road serving'.h,s^-:`:q;"` present home and the new lot be widened from 15 feet to 18 feet. Mayor Fay recognized Mr. Norris, and he advised the Counci'1=1r;; hat the Planning Advisor s Report dated January 17 required that he vide at least 15 feet of paved driveway access where the single drive proposed (Section I. General: Paragraph G). However, Mr. Norris iiid; that to comply with the condition would require removal of several. ;t; fincing and a barn, and it is his wish that these things remain ir►tA! til such time as he should decide to sell the new property. E..ESSER Mr. A.E..-Esser.requested that the matter be held until.the next. eeting.of the Council. Mayor -Fay so ordered. UBDIVISION.NO. 28, FINAL MAP, TRACT 26214, W. C. ELLISON r. Mr. Kessenick of South Bay Engineering advised the Council that the final maps were not ready, and requested that the matter be held over until the next meeting, Mayor Fay so ordered. SHBDIVISION.NO.-29, FINAL MAP, TRACT 23078, W. B..STRINGFELLOW The Manager presented the final map of Tract No. 23078, together -with.a letter from the Department of County Engineer dated April 10, 1967 recommending: 1) approval of the map, 2) rejection of the private street which is offered for dedication on said map, 3) approval and acceptance of the following work agreement and bond after their first being examined - and approved by the :.City Attorney: . An 'agreement to construct a w ter sys- tem, the estimated costs of improvements to` be.$2,260 (bond for the full amount is held by Palos Verdes Water Co.); and a labor and materials bond in the amount of $1,100.00 both executed;by Wil;1am B. Stringfellow Jr. and Ann S. Stringfellow and Pacific Inde`mnity Company, a corporation, and 4) that your Council make a finding as`follows: The City Couhcil, pursuant to Section 115$7 of the Subdivision.Map Act, hereby finds that William i. Following discussion; Councilman.Tourtelot moved that the final map'be approved, subject to the recommendations of the County Engineer. Motion was seconded.by.Councilman Klein and unanimously carried, and the City Clerk was directed.to sign the linen original. PROPOSED ORDINANCE -'Weed Abatement Mayor Fay directed the matter be held on the agenda. ADMINISTRATION'BUILDING Mayor Fay announced that the dedication - open house will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. -on -Sunday, April 23, 1967. EASTFIELD GATE CONDEMNATION Mayor -Fay directed the matter be held on the agenda. MATTERS.FROM MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL Councilman Tourtelot stated that he has received correspondence rom Southern California Edison Co. indicating that a joint effort will be ade with.General Telephone Co. on the matter of undergr-pund utilities on rest Road from Georgeff Road to the South Gate. -3- Aril 10, 1967 MATTERS FROM CITY OFFICERS The City Manager advised the Council that ail invitation has been issued by Dr. Wendell Black of Harbor College for a tour of the college. and a luncheon. Four dates have been suggested, and the Manager advised that information would'...be sent to members of the.Council*with the request tha-.t .they advise the Manager of the date most convenient, so the matter,could be confirmed with Dr ., Black. ADJOURNMENT There being nor further business to come before the'T' Councilman Tourtelot made a motion for adjournment at 8:05 P,M. The motion was seconded by Councilman Klein and unanimously carried.
