Councilman Hesse said a resoluion was adopted by the Rolling Hi11s Community Association supporting SOC and the Palos Verdes Advis- ox°y Council guide to Peninsula planning, and said he would advise the Council of the date of adoption of the resolutiono Mre James Ziegler, 0 Open Brand Road, suggested that the agenda ,Q„ for th meetings of the City Councils and Planning Commissions of the Q three Peninsula, cities e sent to the other cities for informatione Regional Planning Commission, Conditional Use Permit Case 31-(4) , Mrso Clifton presented copies of a notice of a public hearing scheduled before the Zoning Board of Regional Planning on Thursday, January 13, 1972 on a request for a conditional use permit in the C-2 (Neighborhood Business) Zone to establi§h, operate and maintain three 4-plex structures with appurtenant facilities on the northeast- erly corner of the intersection of South Hawthorne Boulevard and South Indian Va11ey Roado .,. Councilman. Hesse advised that the parcel is three C-2 lots , and is contiguous with five R-3 lots ; together they constitute a small area completely surrounded by single family residential zoning . He moved that a letter be sent to the Zoning Board of Regional Plan- nirg stating that any additional multiples would unfairly affect the area and surrounding property owners, and would be another case of "spot strip zoning" .which in the past has downgraded the community wherever it has occurred, and urging the Zoning Board to deny the Conditional Use Permite 'The motion was seconded by Councilman Pear- son and carried by the following roll call vote : AYES : Councilmen ear, Fay, Hesse, Pearson, Mayor Sauer IOES : None ABSENT: None Southern California Edison Company A letter dated December 2 1971 from Southern Calif ornia Edison Company was presented to he Cnc.o The Edison Gompany advised that in. accordance with Decision Noo 73078 of Case Noe 8209, $7e75 m.11ion has been allocated for 1972 for replaemen of overhead with underground facilitieso Combined rath the 1968 through 1971, allocation of $9075 anillion, the total is approximately $17e5 milliono The City of Rolling Hills has a carry- over allocatin of $5,127 , and the allocation for 1972 is $1,910e Z°he Manager advised that to underground lines on Portuguese Bend in the area recoinmen.ded by the Edison Compaxay9 it probably. will be nec- essay borrow funds fom futue allocatioas .
