C) PUBLIC HEARING JUNE 12, 1972
Mayor Pearson stated that the purpose of the meeting was to
outline
utline the program to be followed at the Public Hearing scheduled for
June 12, 1972 at 7:30 P,.M. at La Cresta School.
After payment of bills and other regular Council business, the
Mayor explained that he would open the Public Hearing, explain briefly
the history of existing recreational facilities, and the need for
additional facilities, then would turn the meeting over to a member of
the Equestrian Committee, who would explain what that committee has
done, and make recommendations for improving existing facilities and
Ieveloping additional facilities.
A member of the Tennis Committee would next address the meet-
ing on the need for additional tennis facilities, and make recommenda-
tions, based on. the findings of the Committee.
Following would be a discussion of methods of financing avail-
able for expanded facilities. Councilman Heinsheimer, finance officer
of the City -Council, was asked to explore and be prepared to discuss
the methods available with existing and projected income, including
the revenue expected from the increased County taxes. Mayor'Pearson
asked Mr. William Kinley, City Attorney, to research financing methods
available to the City for recreational purposes, and be prepared to
present them in a manner easily understood by the residents who will
attend the public hearing.
Mayor Pearson said that no decision would be reached at the
Public Hearing, but reports,of the committees and comments of residents
attending the meeting would be studied, and the findings announced.

Mrs, Clifton presented a letter dated May 25, 1912 from Mr,
artin Denn, Engineer for Dr. E. J. Weisenheimer, 27 Portuguese Bend
oad, Tract 29354.
Mr. Denn advised that the Regional Planning Commission had
indicated that it will be necessary to have a statement from the City
of Rolling Hills that the map is still active before processing it
further. Mrs. Clifton explained that final approval had been delayed
so Dr. Weisenheimer could complete arrangements for undergrounding
and other requirements.
June 7, 1972
Councilman Bear moved that a time extension of one year be
granted Dr. Weisenheimero The motion. was seconded by Councilman
Battaglia and carried by the following roll, call vote:
AYES: Councilmen Battaglia, Bear, Heinsheimer
Mayor Pearson
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Hesse
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the meeting,
a motion for adjournment was made at 9:00 A.M. by Councilman Bear,
seconded by Councilman Heinsheimer and carried unanimously.
