MINUTES OF THE
RECESSED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ROLLING'HILLS, CALIFORNIA
19 May 1958
A recessed meeting of the City Council of the City
of Rolling Hills was held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, 19 May
1958, in the City Hall.
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by
Mayor Goodman.
ROLL CALL
Present: Councilmen Nielsen, Roach, Tourtelot
and Mayor Goodman.
Absent: Councilman Horn.
Others Present: City Clerk Gilbert Myers- Deputy City
Clerk Phyllis Stockdale, Messrs: L. M.
Weitzel, James L. Elliott, M. R. Peppard-,
Jr., Leslie Cunningham,. George F. Partridge,
Robert Boomer,- Vernal Tyler And -Dr. Frank.
Stanton.
STORM DRAIN PROGRAM
The City Manager reported to the-Counoil.that the
County Engineerts office had been contacted and requested
to prepare required preliminary plans for storm drain
projects for the City by June 15, 1958. He stated that
the cost vwas expected to be approximately $20Q.
The City Manager explained that -the County would
have the following requirements in connection with any
storm drain program:
1, easements would have to be granted over all
property affected by the construction work;
2. the County or contractors would be guaranteed
free access to roads and easements; and
3. the County would be held harmless for any road
damage resulting from construction and'servicih'
Discussion ensued during which all members of the
Board of Directors of the Rolling Hills Community.
Association, who were in attendance-at._the meeting,
individually indicated they would,-when.called upon so
to do, take such action as would'indicate their willing-
ness.to cooperate .with the County and City in this matter.
ADJOURNMENT >
There being no further business to come before the
meetings it was moved by Councilman Roach, seconded by
Councilman Nielsen and, unanimously carried that the
meeting be adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
