October 18, 1989
An ad�ourned meeting of the City Council of the City of Rolling
Hills was called to order at 7: 15 a.m. , in the Council Chamber at the �
City Hall/Administration Building, 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling
Hills, California, by Mayor Leeuwenburgh on Wednesday, October 18,
1989.

CONSENT CALENDAR
Mayor Leeuwenburgh requested that the minutes of October 9 and
October 10, 1989, and the Financial Statement for September, 1989,
were removed from the Consent Calendar, and held on the agenda.
Councilwoman Murdock moved approval of the payment of bills.
Councilman Pernell seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.
� PAYMENT OF BILLS
Demands Nos. 4063 through 4089, in the amount of $48, 172.22, were
approved for payment from the General Fund.
OLD BUSINESS
WORK SESSION WITH GENERAL PLAN CONSULTANTS RE: DRAFT HOUSING ELEMENT
Ms. Karen Warner and Mr. Donald Cotton distributed copies of the
preliminary draft Housing Element, for the Council 's review and
comments. .
The Councilmembers remarked on various aspects of the draft
Housing Element, and suggested some possible revisions.
Councilwoman Murdock suggested that the Planning Commission be
given a copy of the draft Housing Element, as soon as possible, for
their review.
NEW BUSINESS
There were no matters of New Business for the Council 's
consideration.
OPEN AGENDA '
No one spoke on the Open Agenda.

LETTER FROM RANCHO PALOS VERDES RE: TRAILS
Councilwoman Murdock noted that a map of equestrian trails that
was printed in the Palos Verdes News was inaccurate.
Councilman Pernell suggested that staff send a letter to the City
of Rancho Palos Verdes, indicating what action is being taken on the
correspondence. ,

The City Manager indicated that, at this time, there is nothing
new to report.
