ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
CITY OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA
APRIL 24, 1990
An adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of Rolling
Hills was called to order at 5:10 p.m., in the Council Chambers, at
the City Hall/Administration Building, 2 Portuguese Bend Road,
Rolling Hills, California, Mayor Leeuwenburgh, on Tuesday, April 24,
1990.
ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Councilman Pernell, Councilwoman Swanson,
Councilwoman Murdock, Mayor Pro Tem
co Heinsheimer, Mayor Leeuwenburgh
ABSENT: None
Lo ALSO PRESENT: Terrence L. Belanger City Manager
"Q CITY COUNCIL REORGANIZATION.
Election of Mavor
Mayor Leeuwenburgh moved the appointment of Mayor Pro Tem
Tom Heinsheimer as Mayor of the City of Rolling Hills.
Councilwoman Murdock seconded the motion. The motion to
appoint Tom Heinsheimer as Mayor was approved, with five (5)
affirmative votes and no negative votes.
Presentation to Mavor Leeuwenburah
.Mayor Heinsheimer presented a special plaque to outgoing
Mayor Leeuwenburgh, which commemorated her exceptional year
of service and leadership, to the people of Rolling Hills.
Election of Mavor Pro Tem
Mayor Heinsheimer moved the appointment of Councilman
Godfrey Pernell as Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Rolling
Hills. Councilwoman Murdock seconded the motion. The motion
to appoint Godfrey Pernell as Mayor Pro Tem was approved,
with five (5) affirmative votes and no negative votes.
MATTERS FROM MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL
Citv Council Committee Assignments - 1990
Mayor Heinsheimer led a discussion regarding the appointment
of delegates and alternates to outside agencies and
committees, as well as, appointments to the various City
Council sub -committees. There was a suggestion, by Mayor
Heinsheimer that the the list of sub -committees be reduced,
by consolidating them into five (5) or six (6) functional
areas. Councilwoman Swanson suggested that the sub -committee
consolidations be a matter for discussion at the upcoming
Council/Staff Retreat. The Council decided to leave the
sub -committee assignments as they are currently. The matter
will be finalized at the May 31 - June 2, 1990 Retreat.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Heinsheimer adjourned the meeting at 5:56 p.m.. The meeting
was adjourned to 7:30 a.m., April 30, 1990, 64 Saddleback Road,
Rolling Hills, California.
