9/19/1991MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA September 19, 1991 A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills was called to order by Mayor Godfrey Pernell at 7:40 a.m. at 6 Ringbit Road West, Rolling Hills, California on September 19, 1991. ROLL CALL PRESENT: Council Members Leeuwenburgh and Murdock; Mayor Pro Tem Swanson and Mayor Pernell. ABSENT: Council Member Heinsheimer ALSO PRESENT: Craig R. Nealis, City Manager Lola Ungar, Principal Planner CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARING A. A. ZONING CASE NO. 432: CONSIDERATION OF AN APPEAL OF PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION DENYING A SITE PLAN REVIEW APPROVAL TO CONSTRUCT A NEW SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE. PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION OF DENIAL NO. 91-17 APPLICANT: MICHAEL CHRISTOPHER SPATA (ANDERSEN, KELEHER AND SPATA). OWNERS: ISCO INDUSTRIES AND E.S. DEVELOPMENT ADDRESS: 6 RINGBIT ROAD WEST (LOT 8 -A -2 -SF) Mayor Pernell announced that this was a continued Public Hearing to consider the subject case. South Bay Engineering representative Doug McHattie provided those in attendance with an orientation of the Site Plan. Al Marrone, owner of an adjoining property, indicated his intent to construct a house on a lot which looks down upon the subject property. Mayor Pro Tem Swanson questioned the specifics of the reduction in size of the project that had occurred during Planning Commission review. Applicant representative Thomas Hood indicated that over one thousand square feet had been deleted from the project. For the record, City Manager Nealis indicated that the original size of the single family dwelling was 3,391 sq.ft. as submitted on November 20, 1990, and the proposal before the Planning Commission which was denied was a single family house consisting of 3,210 sq.ft. Applicant representative Thomas Hood commented that the original square footage was recommended for approval by City Staff. Following review of the property, Staff was directed to determine whether a Variance would be required for the proposed location of a stable in the front yard area. There being no objection, the subject item was continued to the next regularly scheduled meeting to be held on September 23, 1991.
